This stems from the importance of horses and mastery of horseback riding in order to be on the battlefield or travel.
But with the invention of the automobile and its generalization in the early twentieth century, the importance of horses and horse riding diminished and was replaced by the ability to drive.
On the other hand, this caused equestrianism to be transferred from the streets to the suburbs and pursued as a sport and entertainment.
As a result, several equestrian clubs were set up around the cities to meet the needs of people fleeing machine life.
